is a registered Non -Profit Tanzanian Foundation established in 2011 with its headquarters in ShinyangaTown, Shinyanga Region, Tanzania.
The Foundation's primary objective is to provide greater access to quality education to children and youth with special emphasis on girl education. Through its sponsorship program, ASMK has set up training programs to help create job opportunities for the youth through vocational training at a local technical school at Buhangija. ASMK has also set up an IT training program offering Basic computer skills for marginalized girls based at its main office and Centre in Shinyanga.
In rural Shinyanga, in the village of Nhobola,, ASMK , working with an American development partner, H2OpenDoors, and with the support of the District Government authorities and village leaders, has provided clean drinkable water to the village and is advocating and helping to bring infrastructure to rural Shinyanga communities. The accessibility of clean portable water dramatically improves the chances of a girl child staying in school.
Ultimately, subsistence rural communities that have safe reliable sources of water supply will in time become viable and sustainable.
